現在の研究テーマ(current research project)
Investigation of the causal underlying mechanisms of logical inference in mice
抱負(ambitious future plan)
Sleep has a crucial role in memory and learning. But recently, studies have shown that not only does sleep influence memory and learning consolidation, but it affects problem-solving skills and logical inference as well. I am going to investigate the responsible brain region for inference evolution and identify the brain circuitry which might be crucial to hierarchical inference evolution, using state-of-the-art calcium imaging and cutting-edge manipulating techniques. My goal is to ultimately discriminate between astute and chuckleheaded mice down to the brain region and/or circuit level.
