清水 忠道
教室の歴史と理念
1979年に富山医科薬科大学は創設され、同年より諸橋正昭名誉教授が初代皮膚科教授として四半世紀、教室を作り、発展に寄与してきました。諸橋先生の後を引き継ぎ、2005年10月1日付けで私、清水忠道が富山大学医学部皮膚科学教室を担当させて頂くことになりました。また私の着任と期を同じくして10月1日付けをもちまして今までの富山医科薬科大学は再編・統合し、新たに富山大学として発足しました。
2005年10月より教授として赴任して以来、炎症性皮膚疾患を始め、皮膚感染症、膠原病、水疱症を含む自己免疫性疾患、さらに先天性皮膚疾患など幅広い皮膚疾患について診療・研究にスタッフとともに力を注いできました。また、皮膚腫瘍や熱傷などの皮膚外科手術も豊富に施行し、特に2019年4月より新たに開設した熱傷外来では救急・災害医学部と連携を図りながら治療にあたっております。さらに、レーザー治療は10数年来北陸の中核病院としての役割を担っております。
研究面においても、世界の高いレベルで研究を展開すべきであると考えます。中でも私は、紫外線が皮膚に及ぼす影響に関して長く研究を行っております。米国マイアミ大学留学時代には紫外線免疫の研究を行い、本学に来てからは診療において光線試験を積極的に取り入れ、多くの光線過敏症患者を診察しております。また、本学の特徴の一つである漢方治療のエビデンスを確立するため、アトピー性皮膚炎や乾癬に対する漢方薬の臨床および基礎研究にも取り組んでいます。生物学的製剤に加え、漢方薬はアトピー性皮膚炎や乾癬の補完的治療法として有用です。ほかにも、継続的に行ってきた炎症性皮膚疾患に関する免疫学的研究を教育、診療、研究という3要素にバランスよく組み入れたいと思っております。加えて今後は、全身疾患としての診る目を養いながら、先進的な研究や臨床を支えるレーザー専門医、悪性腫瘍の専門医などのサブスペシャリティを持った若手専門医の育成に積極的に取り組むことが重要な使命と考えております。
On October 1, 2005, I assumed charge of the Dermatology Department, Faculty of Medicine at University of Toyama. At that time, the university reorganized and was integrated with what was Toyama Medical and Pharmaceutical University, to become the University of Toyama. I feel honored about my new responsibilities at this new university. Toyama Medical and Pharmaceutical University was established in 1979. Professor Masaaki Morohashi, the first professor of the Dermatology Department and now a professor emeritus there, endeavored to firmly establish and develop the department for a quarter century. As I have become head of a department built up by Dr. Morohashi, I am determined to make the new University of Toyama into a university that makes even greater contributions to the local and global communities.
University of Toyama gained graduate school authorization from the government in April 2006. This makes it especially important for me to focus on education as well as on my studies in inflammatory dermatitis using immunological analyses. I have been researching the relationship between inflammatory cytokines and dermatitis. I will further endeavor in my studies and give my utmost to educating researchers and educators of the future. I sincerely hope that I may contribute to the local and global communities by improving the quality of medical care.
