Course Objectives

3. List three functions of the skeletal system.
4. Classify joints broadly into three types and compare their mobility.

6. Describe the structure of the heart.
7. Explain the pulmonary circulation and systemic circulation.
8. Compare and explain the structures of arteries, veins, and capillaries.
9. List the major arteries and veins and describe their circulation.

11. Distinguish the nervous system from the perspective of structure and function.
12. Explain the central nervous system and peripheral nervous system, and describe their structures.
13. Explain the cranial nerves and spinal nerves.

16. Outline the location, relationships, structure, and functions of the thoracic, abdominal, and pelvic organs.
